It was rare that the sun shined here, the steep winding path to the Fortress was battered and broken as though the stormy sea had torn away the sides and swallowed them whole. Yet, there was no sea, only a mote which surrounded the castle and remained calm, silent and deadly still. The cold wind swept twigs and decayed leaves across the path, making the castle’s appearance look if more so, even gloomier.
The Steel gates heavily guarded the castle, towering far above the walls as if they were reaching for the sky above them but the heavens had bolted them out. The Fortress was slightly crooked, its Grey slates slanted; it looked quite like something you would see in a wicked fairytale.
The large bay windows where dimly lit, indicating someone was home. Not that these kinds of people would have many visitors of the human kind, they were indeed beings to be feared. Once close enough, it soon became apparent that some sort of gathering was taking place. A Party.
Inside the desolate Castle, the place came to life. There were chandeliers encrusted with diamonds, pearls and roses. The floor was scattered with strange plants that one could not possibly not dream of seeing in the average human’s garden, however, they was tame and harmless. If you walked around bare-footed, it would be a simple luxury. A Buffet had opened, with an array of dishes to suit many different people, there was also an Orchestra playing. ‘What kind of party was this?’
Nonetheless, people were dancing and having a good time, some of the less sociable families where outside and had gathered in seperate clustered upon the balcony.Saku, although, he was not anti-social creature, he did particularly enjoy their presense. He’d attended that many parties and social occassions during his life time, his mind ached at the mere thought of them.
